Slow Down

A slow roasted smile plays as I contemplated how to love you more..

Perplexing and amusing is this state I have never had an answer for..

Silly little thoughts always danced about like a playful musical score..

Moody frames of mind that came and went, abound at times galore..

Instilled awe that I could never shake this craving I’ve yet to explore..

This unshakeable desire that yet dominates my mind to its very core..

As pleasant as a long ago midsummer dream too impossible to ignore..

So back to square one again which is why I’m stumped on why I adore..

The One that could make me feel again to anticipate all that’s in store..
