RMWB Words in Motion

RMWB Words In Motion is a literacy program that promotes an appreciation for the art of poetry. It is open to everyone living in the Wood Buffalo Region. Please submit your poem(s) to the Culture Coordinator and have your "written artwork" shared with the public through this cyberspace. Selected poems will be showcased on Wood Buffalo Transit buses and various media outlets throughout our region as well. Here are all the entries for the 2014 Words In Motion program.

To Feel The Pain Of The Elderly

Grinds Right Through To The Bone

To Know They’re Mostly Locked Away

In Rundown Nursing Homes

Many Have No Life Left

They Stare Into Empty Air

They Know They’re Mostly Locked Away

And Know That Most Don’t Care

But I Would Like To challenge You

But Only If You Dare

To Walk Into A Nursing Home

And Show Them That You Care.
