Your light shines
bright
like a candle on a cloudy night.
Banishing the shadows
from the corners of the heart.
They that gather are
moths drawn to your light.
Their wings like a breeze
that flickers your flame.
And your light dims.
Place the candle in front of the mirror of your soul
and recharge your flame.
For it is the light from within you
that must be nourished.
Shine bright, for you are a star in the sky
the flame of the candle
the beacon on a dark day
the glow of a full moon
Infinitely bright and loving
Casting your glow upon the souls in need
Allow those souls be mirrors for your flame
and shine the light back upon you.
